Discover the Heart
of Colorado’s 58 Summits

Connecting people from across the world who
have summited one, some or all of the
Colorado’s fourteeners (summits above 14,000 ft).

How It All Started . . .

A reluctant boy climbed Mount Elbert with his dad and brother many, many years ago not knowing this climb would be the start of it all. In fact, Shane Jordan went on to create the “Colorado Fourteeners” poster to help locate Colorado’s summits above 14,000 feet and to share them with others. The original artwork was created by Jeff Maxim of Boulder in 1996 and the poster has been in print since then. It was revised in 2019 to reflect updated summit elevations made by The US Geological Survey (Challenger Point/Conundrum Peak/Mt Cameron/North Eolus) and to include additional mountain towns as points of reference. So, in 2020 the company’s name was changed from Pinnacle 54 to 58 Summits and the poster underwent some stylistic changes to mark its 25th Anniversary Edition with a print release in 2021.

The 58 Summits website was created to connect people from around the world who have summited one, some, or all of the Colorado’s fourteeners. Fourteeners? The summits above 14,000 feet of which there are 58 in Colorado!

“The summit is what drives us, but the climb itself is what matters.”

– Conrad Anker

Giving Back

It would be irresponsible if we merely directed people to the 58 summits without also encouraging them to preserve and protect these natural treasures, so in 2021 we will donate a portion of our annual profits to support the work of the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative (CFI). CFI is a Colorado-based NPO that works in partnership with the US Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and a team of passionate volunteers to build and maintain sustainable summit routes and educate people who climb these  mountains annually. In 2020, we donated 58 Colorado Fourteeners posters to CFI for use as fundraising items in honor of Brittney Woodrum. Brittney hiked the 58 summits above 14,000 feet in less than 80 days to raise money and awareness for ShelterBox. This organization provides shelter resources to vulnerable and displaced families globally. We also presented Brittney with a $580 donation check made out to ShelterBox USA. You can find out more about CFI’s work at 14ers.org and Shelterbox USA’s impact at shelterboxusa.org.
